My sister's in the hospital having kiddo the second. :) It's early days yet, so say my mother and other sister, but...

EeeeeeeEEEEE! :D

Campfire plans for this weekend are thoroughly scuttled, as we knew they might be. Oh well, this is more important. I'm not going up to visit until everyone's home and settled in, which probably means either next weekend or for part of the weekend of the Fourth. But, oh my gosh! :D

I am going to laugh my butt off if it's a boy. Ultrasounds may be highly accurate, but they are not perfect. I know Jordan had them check twelve times, and whether that's hyperbole or not, I don't know; I wasn't there. My point stands.

:) :) Updates to follow.

So, in three weeks I am already 100% Undertale trash. And just after I vowed to leave Tumblr, too.

Again, I know my argument from about a month ago...we need to be the content we want to see here on the DW. I am still working on that. I am not sure if I should make a community or not...it seems pretentious now, where ten years ago I would have just made a comm and not thought twice about it. It really says something about how people left the LJ/DW format en masse that there isn't even an Undertale community here, with Undertale being as huge as it is.

I'm going to make a community. Also a ton of icons.

EDIT: http://undertale-dw.dreamwidth.org/ Imma do more shit to it later, this is just the placeholder now.

“I don't know what those boys did to the car when they spray painted it, but the car just started spluttering, then it wouldn't go more than twenty miles an hour, with the gas pedal all the way down,” the motorist declared, her voice rising as the story spilled out like tea from a shattered pitcher. “Then it stopped and it won't even start!”

“Okay, that's probably because of something put into the gas tank,” Joshua soothed. “Did you report the incident? I mean, spray painting that phrase on someone's car is a hate crime.”

“I wasn't the one who noticed it first. The busboy at the Global Garden noticed it when he went outside with a bag of trash, and then the manager came to tell me that she'd called the police.”

Today is cloudy, cool, and breezy.  Earlier I took pictures.

I planted two lemon thyme plants in the Goddess Garden, and watered potted plants.

Thanks to a donation from [personal profile] dialecticdreamer, there are 15 new verses in "A Hope and a Promise."   Mrs. Ozenne and Aidan talk about school and play options.  Saraphina talks about her terrible past.  (Toddler phrasing, but graphic description of witnessed violence.)

This poem was commissioned by [personal profile] dialecticdreamer. It also fills the "Farce" square in my 4-19-16 card for the [community profile] genprompt_bingo fest. It belongs to the Damask thread of the Polychrome Heroics series.

I feel so out of place trying to talk to, and interact with people. It makes me want to just go back to testing. Why would I want to go back to testing?

On the way to drop the girl off, Mariset surprised everyone when she asked Cash for his phone number, but Joshua only grinned, when he wanted to punch the air in victory. She stayed close to Jules, poised with two careful inches of space between them on the blocky camper sofa. When they arrived at her house, her foster mother stepped onto their porch as Mariset activated the lift, quickly texting Cash to ask him to walk her to the front steps.

While they were busy, Joshua glanced at Jules' bare arms and shoulders, looking for signs of the daily artwork, or signs that someone had ordered him to scrub it off. He found a tiny bracelet of dots along one wrist, easily hidden by the band of the teen's vidwatch. “What's it say on your wrist?” Joshua asked, wincing as his worry leaked into his voice.

“Drew's name, and Glyn's name, over and over, because I miss them a lot,” Jules admitted. “Are you moving away?” the teen asked bluntly.

update to the last: I'm okay

Thank you so much to everyone who commented on that last entry of mine. Much love!

Showed the bosslady the list. She was sympathetic, if definitely a bit thrown. She first asked if I was quitting - "Nooooo no, definitely not." Wound up taking two days off, with her blessing. I need them. The day got better from there on in; I don't know why uncorking, embarrassing though it was after the fact, helped, but it did. Also helping were several messes getting sorted out all at once, and a relatively mellow day. I still need the vacation time, badly. By late morning, I was not flinching at phone rings or e-mail pings, and chatting with friendly customers was a pleasure rather than a chore. Definite improvements, and again, no idea why uncorking helped.

Seriously looking into getting a medical opinion on this anxiety stuff, because it's been bad, lifelong, and it's getting worse, and I have a family history of the same; Mom has it too, though often well-hidden. People at work seem to think it's purely an attitude/reaction thing, of the 'change your outlook' variety. As changing my outlook involves a good amount of what feels suspiciously like plastering on an obviously fake smile, I'm not sure this is something a sunny mindset is going to cure.

I need the vacation time. There will be reading up a storm, and radio time as both receiver and transmitter, and *fingers crossed* a blood donation, and kitty cuddles, and maybe a campfire.

Bless my boss, seriously. I wrote her a grateful e-mail before taking off for vacation time. Strongly considering a gift of chocolate out of gratitude for putting up with my self-confessed high-strung self.

Just wanted to update everybody. I'm okay. I'm flipping tired and need a recharge.

Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do?

If I act ridiculous all the time when there's a chance I'd end up thinking about messy emotional shit then I don't have to think about the messy emotional shit.

It worked before. But that's exhausting. And I'm tired. It worked before but hell if I guessed exactly how much time I'd Have to think here. I never had this much time just to mull before. I never really wanted it. But if I stop acting ridiculous I have to confront it all and I don't want to, and people are going to ask what's wrong.

Marry already knows something's up though. Keleshekt and Owl too. Fuck it this is just pointless by now but I don't know who I am if I'm not acting that out so. Bullshit.

Just Bullshit.

Give me a break.
